Job Summary:
The scientist is responsible for experimental studies that are to be carried out as part of this project, serving as a representative of the UW-Madison team and a liaison with other project team members, and mentoring junior graduate and undergraduate students who work on different aspects of this project. Additionally, the scientist will work closely with Professor van der Weide on formulating new research questions, identifying new research directions, and writing grant proposals to initiate new research programs. Responsibilities: Identifies research problems, designs research methodologies, performs research, and helps to prepare the results for presentation to professional organizations or for scholarly publications to help advance research.

Education: Required Qualifications: 3 years of experience post PhD in specialization in applied physics and microfabrication of tunable devices and/or radio frequency devices required. Prefer experience in cleanroom fabrication, photolithography, nanolithography, device encapsulation and characterization Work Type: Part Time: 50% Appointment Type, Duration: Terminal, 8-month appointment. Salary: Minimum $65,000 ANNUAL (12 months) Additional Information: This is a terminal position expected to last until December 31, 2025.
