Description

Summary of Position/Purpose:

The Senior Warehouse Manager will drive operational excellence and efficiency throughout multiple sites, ensuring smooth and effective processes. The Sr. Warehouse Manager contributes to the company's overall success by optimizing resource allocation, managing budgets, and leading teams to achieve strategic goals that exceed the overall customer experience.

Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:



  • Lead and manage the overall planning, organization and operations of multiple sites distribution centers
  • Develop and implement operational strategies and procedures to optimize warehouse processes and efficiency
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards across all facilities which include ISO, EH&S, SOX compliance and established standard operating procedures
  • Ensure the highest level of inventory accuracy during receiving, picking, and packing processes
  • Engaging and building a 'one team' culture driving performance and reduction in turnover
  • Meet the on-time delivery metrics according to the Quality Management System
  • Analysis of daily, weekly and monthly metrics to identify and execute process improvements, which include warehouse layout and movement of materials
  • Develop, train, and ensure execution of Warehouse Manager's PRD and job duties
  • Lead and drive the implementation of process improvements
  • Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and sales teams to ensure seamless operations and address any distribution challenges
  • Maintain a safe and secure warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and procedures
  • Maintain open communication with warehouse staff and management teams
  • Optimize warehouse layouts and processes to maximize space utilization and efficiency
  • Indirectly and directly responsible for product quality
  • Any other duties as assigned by management


Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:



  • 8+ years warehouse operations experience, preferably from industrial, electronics assembly, or Aerospace and Defense distribution disciplines
  • 8+ years inventory management experience (cycle counting and reconciliation, Disposition of Non- conforming product, managing shelf-life sensitive items, temperature monitoring, etc.)
  • 5+ years of Managerial experience is required
  • 4+ years' experience working with Distribution software systems, Warehouse management system
  • Experience working with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TQM) to drive process efficiencies desired.
  • Strong inventory control skills, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified

  • Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations
