Job Description

Vanir CM has an opportunity for a talented individual to assist in the continued strategic growth of our organization. The position of QA/QC Inspector will work collaboratively with internal and external clients to deliver intelligent solutions to ensure quality project delivery. This individual will be instrumental in providing complex inspection services in accordance with various building codes and quality assurance standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Providing construction inspection and plan review services for Linear and Vertical project types
  • Strong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure relation and compliance to project requirements.
  • Responsible as onsite liaison with contractor and oversight of progress of construction.
  • Monitor and review the activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities to ensure compliance with design plans and specifications.
  • Review plans and contractors work and materials for compliance with quality and design specifications.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide input to meeting minutes, documentation, administration, daily reporting and tracking of relevant information.
  • Ensure contractors, architects, and engineers adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment.
  • Ensure project closeout to obtain guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for turnover to the owner.
  • Perform other duties as required to ensure project success.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education development test (GED) and six years of increasingly responsible, relevant journey level experience in one or more crafts, understand and ability to inspect road, water/wastewater and/or building projects per applicable codes and standards, or fabrication inspection and testing per applicable codes and standards.
  • Ability to work with multiple contractors and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge and application of construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices.
  • Experience in the Linear and Vertical construction preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related Construction Management systems are preferred.
  • Inspection Certifications preferred

Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $110,000-$117,000.
