Job Description

As a Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing at OTTO By Rockwell Automation, you will manage OTTO's supplier and partner agreements to oversee the development and execution of strategic sourcing contracts and manage supplier relationships for our company. You bring experience managing supplier and partner relationships for industrial technology products. That experience is built on a solid foundation in procurement and supply chain management, be responsible for onboarding strategic suppliers and partners together with OTTO's technical teams and leading the setup of the contractual relationship. Here you ensure that our contracts are aligned with our business objectives, deliver value and quality to our customers, and comply with legal and ethical standards. Additionally you will also monitor our supplier and partner relationships, resolve any issues or disputes, and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. You will be Hybrid based in either Kitchener, Ontario, Canada or Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US. You will report to VP, Operations.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Drive implementation of the sourcing strategy for assigned commodities.
  • Communicate, monitor, and manage business unit compliance of the strategy.
  • Improve and develop our internal processes.
  • Drive towards excellence both internally and with our suppliers.
  • Ensure that our agreements and contracts encompass the needs of all stakeholders.
  • Foster productive supplier and partner relationships.
  • Work cross-functionally with legal, engineering, product, finance, and customer services.

The Essentials-You will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US or Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time.
The Preferred-You might also have::
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years management experience.
  • Preferably an MBA or Masters degree in supply chain management
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing methodologies, tools, and best practices, such as market research, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, risk management, category management, and supplier relationship management.
  • At least 8 years of experience in contract management, strategic sourcing and supply chain management
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role mentoring multiple people.
  • You have drafted, negotiated and managed a variety of partnership and supplier agreements.
  • You have a background in a technology or industrial space with hardware products.
  • You have a post-secondary degree in business administration, supply chain management or relevant technical field.
  • You have an analytical mindset and you are comfortable processing data in spreadsheets and ERP systems.
  • You think strategically and can synthesize the conflicting concerns of multiple stakeholders.
  • International supplier management experience in Asia / Europe is an asset.
