Account Community Manager (ACM), Rare Bleeding Disorders / Lupus Hybrid - Wisconsin Ecosystem

The Opportunity:

The RBD-ACM / Lupus Nephritis Therapeutic Area Manager (TAM) deeply understands the needs of healthcare providers, specialty pharmacies and advocacy groups across both therapeutic areas. An additional responsibility as an RBD-ACM is to also support and educate patients/caregivers. Empowered to manage their Therapeutic Areas within the ecosystem, they optimize efforts across stakeholders to enhance customer and/or patient experiences. They leverage experts to provide necessary product information, influence business strategy, and represent all relevant products. The role drives on-label clinical demand, ensures appropriate medication use, increases patient and caregiver knowledge of GNE brands, and collects ecosystem insights to support the national strategy locally, all while adhering to ethical and professional standards.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for their therapeutic area, addressing opportunities to implement ecosystem and TA squad strategies at the point-of-care.

  • Understand and address the needs of healthcare practitioners, specialty pharmacies, patients/caregivers, and advocacy members by mobilizing experts to support clinical, educational, and business goals.

  • Identify and develop solutions for complex or critical accounts within and across ecosystems.

  • Educate HCPs on product information and appropriate use based on FDA-approved guidelines, and engage specialty pharmacies to reinforce the Therapeutic Area's value proposition.

  • Provide RBD patients/caregivers with resources to facilitate healthcare discussions, address product acquisition and supply issues, and ensure product access through education on coverage, reimbursement, and patient assistance programs.

This is a field based role, it will cover all of Wisconsin. Candidates must live in or near the territory for consideration. Relocation Benefits are not available for this role.

Who you are:

Required Qualifications

  • Business, Scientific or Clinical degree, Bachelor's degree level at minimum

  • Previous cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences (pharma or biotechnology) or related industry engaging with key healthcare ecosystem players (e.g., payers, health systems), is required

  • 6 or more years of experience working in a sales role with HCPs, ideally representing multiple products and working across a complex healthcare system environment

  • Proven track record in coaching, training and/or mentoring peers or others as assigned; helping such others to better meet or exceed their goals, targets and other responsibilities

  • Knowledge of and ability to successfully addressing operational issues in the delivery of healthcare products to patients, such as reimbursement and supply

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous 4-6 years of account management skills or patient education industry experience preferred

  • Hemophilia experience is preferred

  • Rheumatology and/or nephrology is a plus

  • Previous patient education industry and/or clinical nursing experience highly valuable

  • Launch experience

  • Experience calling on a diverse set of stakeholders (i.e. hospitals, SP's, patients, advocacy)

  • Ability to flex and learn new disease states

  • Consistently achieved financial and quantitative targets, as well as qualitative goals.

  • Proficient in addressing operational issues related to the delivery of healthcare products, including reimbursement and supply, while ensuring compliance with external laws, codes, and company policies in the healthcare industry

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location in Wisconsin is 138,000 - 230,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.

This is a field-based position and overnight travel may be required. This position requires significant driving of either a company provided or personal vehicle as well as prolonged periods of sitting, both of which are part of the essential duties and responsibilities of the role. As a result, Genentech, Inc. (Company) from time to time will check your motor vehicle record for purposes of determining your eligibility for driving a Company vehicle or driving any vehicle on Company business.
