Starting Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,500 - position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met. The Grid Research & Development (R&D) Advisor II combines energy-related engineering expertise with grid operations business acumen to assesses impacts of emerging grid technologies, perform engineering studies and pilots, and develop innovative solutions or prototypes to support reliable grid operations in the transitioning fleet. As more Inverter Based Resources (IBRs), large loads, Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), emerging transmission technologies are added to the grid, the Advisor II collaborates with Operations business experts, external stakeholders, and research partners to gather information and track emerging issues, frame and deliver research and development projects to evolve and enable reliable grid operation functions including balancing, frequency and voltage stability, congestion management, real-time and forward reliability engineering studies, grid monitoring and communication, and advanced control room technologies. Bachelors of Computer Engineering (required)
Bachelors of Electrical Engineering (required) Bachelors of Power Systems (required) Bachelors of Electrical & Computer Engineering (required) Experience
At least 8 years of working experience in the energy industry required. (preferred)
