Company Description
The Environmental Technician is responsible for maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations. This role involves assisting in developing and maintaining the environmental management system under the direction of the Environmental Manager. The Environmental Technician will be involved in various environmental project activities, data management, and promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Job Description
- Ensure facility compliance with Federal and State Air regulations, RCRA, SPCC, SWPPP, NPDES, DOT, and EPCRA.
- Enforce environmental/safety guidelines and engage employees in continual improvement efforts.
- Maintain environmental records and stay updated on new requirements at the state and federal levels for air, water, and waste.
- Assist with hazardous materials management and disposal.
- Conduct site investigations and prepare compliance reports.
- Review and recommend solutions for environmental issues.
- Respond to environmental incidents and follow EHS guidelines.
- Perform required routine inspections of Air, Water, and Waste activities throughout the facility.
- Follow and complete a prescribed schedule of duties related to environmental facilities support of the plant.
- Collect samples and monitor environmental efficiency.
- Attend training on hazardous material handling and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as required or assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensure personal safety and the safety of team members by wearing appropriate PPE and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.

- Proficient in computer systems and communications.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong language and mathematical skills.
- Must maintain a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform job duties and work in challenging environments.
- Teamwork by helping and volunteering across a variety of tasks.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and always follow all safety rules/procedures.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
