FPGA / Embedded Applications Systems Engineer

Here's what you'd do:

  • As an FPGA / Embedded Applications Systems Engineer (Adv Systems Eng) for Undersea Maritime Systems, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for product design from system architecture and requirements allocation and design qualification for FPGA and Embedded Software Applications.
  • Development of embedded application design details, including functional block diagrams, state and data flow diagrams, ICDs and IDDs
  • Development and execution of embedded application unit cases and resulting OQE
  • Electrical/Optical system design, including requirement allocation and decomposition
  • Requirements Lifecycle Management
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Design and Qualification of electrical systems
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Design and Qualification of Optical Systems
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in new product development and transition to manufacturing
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Agile experience
  • Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
  • Clear understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools
  • Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams as needed to define and refine FPGA and embedded software design requirements.
