Job Title: Behavioral Healthcare Specialist

Duration: 3 Months

Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): Day

Job Description:

  • The Behavioral Healthcare Provider develops, coordinates, implements, and provides identified interdisciplinary services concerned with the development and integration of behavioral and biomedical science, knowledge and techniques relevant to health and illness and the application of this knowledge and these techniques to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Independently provide behavioral healthcare provider services within the credentialed scope of practice and serve as lead workers or liaisons to other support agencies (public or private).


Required Skills:

  • Acts as lead worker over lower-level behavioral healthcare providers or independently develops and
  • implements treatment plans for clients
  • Coordinates admission, assessment, evaluation, and treatment plans of the client's care cycle
  • Provides interventions with acute, more complex clients
  • Handles cases containing numerous factors and problems and provides crisis intervention
  • Participates in the process of establishing, implementing, and directing behavioral healthcare programs and
  • treatment system objectives
  • Public relations: assigned responsibility for establishing & sustaining beneficial business relationships or establishing & projecting acceptable public image.
  • Agency policies & procedures; counseling; interviewing; social sciences (social welfare)
  • Agency software (e.g., e Clinical Works, Microsoft Office); equipment operation (copier, fax) Ability to: recognize unusual or threatening conditions and take appropriate action.
  • Deal with problems involving several variables in familiar context; understand practical field of study; define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Deal with many variables and determine specific action; recognize safety warnings; prepare meaningful, concise and accurate reports; gather, collect and classify information about data, people or things.
  • Handle sensitive inquiries from and contacts with officials and general public; develop good rapport with inmates and/or patients.


Must hold current certification or credentials in one of following:-

  • Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency ,Counselor (LICDC)
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) by ,State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board- Licensed Physician by State of Ohio Medical Board
  • Licensed Psychologist by State of Ohio Board of, Psychology- Registered Nurse by Ohio Board of Nursing- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) by, State of Ohio Counselor Social Worker Board.
  • Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT)
