Compliance Specialist

At Genisys Credit Union, we value our employees who are essential to our ongoing growth and success as a financial institution of choice. We are currently seeking motivated candidates for a Full Time Compliance Specialist position at our Home Office.

Position Purpose:

Assist in ensuring that Genisys Credit Union is in compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations, by performing various internal quality control reviews/audits on a routine basis. Assesses the adequacy and extent of programs designed to safeguard Credit Union assets.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

• Assists in the credit union's overall compliance with applicable rules, regulations and statutory requirements.
• Performs ongoing quality control reviews/audits to ensure compliance will regulations, with emphasis on Fair Lending.
• Reports findings related to internal quality reviews to designated members of management.
• Follows up on examination, audit and compliance review findings and recommendations to ensure adequate corrective action has been completed.
• Reviews and monitors the credit union's record retention procedures concerning retention, retrieval, preservation, and disposition of data.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent required
• 2 year degree or specialized training preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable federal and state financial regulations.
• Understanding of real estate law, loan procedures and documentation, and auditing
