Job Description Summary:

Amplify is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Project Management to join the Science team. This role will be responsible for delivering on-time and on-budget projects, and overseeing a team of project coordinators to help do so. The person in this role will coordinate across internal teams, liaise with vendors and partners, and oversee product development cycles through management of schedules, budget, resources, and more. The ideal candidate for this position is a self motivated leader with effective communication and teamwork skills and a keen attention to detail.

Essential Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

  • Manage and coach project coordinators to drive projects that are successfully delivered within the defined budget, timeline, scope, and quality

  • Partner with leadership and external content partners on planning for projects - from multiweek to multiyear initiatives - including resource planning and budgeting across projects

  • Develop achievable project plans and resource models to deliver on time and within budget. Propose optimizations to production workflows to de-risk projects, improve efficiencies, and make best use of available resources

  • Oversee project coordinators in day to day management of project plans, including project schedules, progress tracking, and reporting. Support Executive Director, Project Management

  • Establish relationships and work closely with Product Management, Curriculum, Design, and other team leaders at Amplify

  • Help drive a positive, productive relationship with our external content partners, partnering with them to create iterative process improvements

Project Management:

  • Identify and communicate issues and risks to stakeholders. Develop mitigation plans and make recommendations to team leads about ways to overcome challenges

  • Work with product leadership to establish necessary project touch points and milestones, and with project coordinators to organize meetings to keep projects on track

  • Measure and communicate out project progress relative to planned budget, scope and timeline to key stakeholders, for both in-team, external, and executive audiences

  • Share project delivery dates and needed details with cross-functional partners in other functions, such as Go to Market, Legal, Editorial Department, and Supply Chain. Negotiate delivery dates with these teams to enable their needs while also managing the project plan

  • Work with the Procurement team on vendor engagement and vendor management to deliver against projects. Work with Product partners to set SOWs with vendors

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a project management and/or operations role managing complex, multi-year projects, preferably in the EdTech industry

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams within a long term project, including 2+ years of direct management experience

  • Proven ability to successfully organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment using strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget

  • Proven written, oral, and presentation skills with the ability to present information clearly and enthusiastically; exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in the use of Monday.com and Google Suite

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Ability to travel quarterly

  • Remote, but must be based in EST

What we offer:

Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, stock options, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
