The Role

Our CMT Consulting group is looking for a Product Manager to join our journey. As a product manager/owner (PM) for a Tier 1 CSP, you act as the "CEO" of your product. You are expected to know your product metrics and develop plans to increase sales and margins or phase out the product when its lifecycle ends. Support from Sales, Network Operations, Network Solutions, Finance, Marketing, Branding, and other groups will be available, but the largest share of the work is handled by the PM. You will handle sales inquiries, work with Solution Architects and Sales to gather feedback on product enhancements and overall customer experience improvements and engage with strategy and other groups responsible for the long-term vision of the CSP's product portfolio. Collaboration with other product teams is crucial to ensure seamless integration and implementation. You may be required to provide executive updates or create collateral for various meetings.

We're looking for Sr. Consulting Managers who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Sr. Consulting Manager, this means leading a team of Consultants through a client-facing engagement, managing escalations, and serving as a the owner of a workstream; maintaining expertise in your domain; meaningfully contributing to the sales process through a mix of RPI development, client presentations, financial modeling, pricing strategy, and flawless delivery; creating service offerings and/or client partner training materials; and contributing to People Care initiatives, recruiting, and mentoring. Responsibilities

* Product Vision and Strategy: Develop, manage, and communicate the vision, roadmap, and backlog for broadband product solutions.

* Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders, partners, and vendors to understand customer experiences and identify opportunities for improvement.

* Market Research: Conduct research to inform product requirements and develop long-term strategies.

* Product Development: Lead product development by prioritizing tasks and removing obstacles.

* Customer Focus: Transform feedback into product features that align with customer needs and business goals.

* Cross-functional Alignment: Ensure smooth execution of product initiatives by aligning with product teams and partners.

* Execution and Delivery: Efficiently execute to ship products and achieve business and user impact.

Qualifications

Specific Skills Required:

* Product Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of product operations, communication protocols, and book-to-bill processes.

* Product Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, ensuring deliverables and stakeholders remain on schedule. Work with cross-functional teams to agree on pricing, go-to-market strategies, and create necessary product documentation.

* Agility: Navigate the Tier 1 framework for initiating and executing product changes or new product builds.

* Business Case Development: Provide sales estimates, ensure margins meet targets, and justify your rationale. Work closely with finance and pricing points of contact.

* High-Level Requirements: Document the required customer experience for enterprise architecture, leading to high-level architecture (HLA) grooming.

* User Stories: Write specific user stories for each system involved in the project. Groom these stories with system points of contact to ensure they are ready for coding.

* End-to-End Operations: Consider all possible scenarios and engage relevant teams to ensure comprehensive coverage.

* UAT Testing: Participate in end-to-end testing and create test cases to ensure the desired customer experience and book-to-bill features are represented. Know the systems your product flows through and maintain contact with the relevant teams.

Specific Product Knowledge - FWA-BI (Fixed Wireless Access-Broadband Internet):

* Sales Model: Understand the current sales model for allowed plans.

* Network Model: Understand the network MPLS/Ethernet/Broadband model for using FWA to access these networks.

* New Sales Models: Create new sales models for FWA products under various contracts, including federal, state, and large customer-specific contracts. Know which might require development.

* Troubleshooting: Lead troubleshooting engagements with systems teams when provisioning or other errors occur. Requires full knowledge of the process and leadership to ensure timely resolution.

* Billing Models: Understand billing models for unlimited and usage-based plans.

* Product Plans: Keep up with the CSP's sold plans and terms, including CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) and professional services.

* Integration: Work with other product owners to integrate wireless solutions into network and CPE offerings.

* General PM Responsibilities: Include understanding current sales units, addressing missed goals, and communicating with executives.

* International Collaboration: Work with international teammates on projects impacting both domestic and international sales and markets.

* System Integration: Integrate various products and systems as part of inventory and implementation/activation.

* Wireless Backup Plans: Develop wireless backup plans/products for different wireline technologies.

* WOOF: Replace low speed ethernet with Wireless Out of Franchise (WOOF) solutions.

* Add-on Services: Offer add-on services like site surveys, outdoor devices, and antennas
