*Description*
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Observability Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves owning all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications, participating in the design and development of systems and application programs, and functioning as a member of an agile team. You will help drive consistent development practices, including tools, common components, and documentation, while working closely with product owners to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and manage technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues. Key Responsibilities: Configure and administer EKS clusters in AWS. Configure Splunk SaaS in AWS environments, especially in EKS. Understand and configure OpenTelemetry Collectors. Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions in AWS using CloudWatch. Utilize Terraform and Infrastructure as Code. Deploy applications using Helm. Develop and maintain scripts in Shell and/or Python. Architect observability pipelines for various AWS services like EKS, SQS, Firehose, etc. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust observability solutions. Develop and maintain technical documentation, ADRs, and runbooks. *Skills* Splunk, Linux, terraform, AWS, GitHub, Artifactory *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Required Skills: In-depth experience configuring and administering EKS clusters in AWS. In-depth experience configuring Splunk SaaS in AWS environments, especially in EKS. In-depth understanding of OpenTelemetry and configuration of OpenTelemetry Collectors. Strong knowledge of observability concepts and troubleshooting experience. Experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions in AWS using CloudWatch. Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code. Experience with Helm. Strong scripting skills in Shell and/or Python. Experience with large-scale distributed systems and architecture knowledge (Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems, networking, storage) in a cloud computing or traditional IT infrastructure environment. Good understanding of cloud concepts (Storage/Compute/Network). Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to architect observability pipelines for various AWS services like EKS, SQS, Firehose, etc. Experience with Git and GitHub. Experience with code build and deployment using GitHub Actions and Artifact Registry. Proficient in developing and maintaining technical documentation, ADRs, and runbooks. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
