Director, Attendance Marketing

Job Summary

The Director, Attendance Marketing is responsible for driving attendance to AMC Theatres by leading integrated, multichannel movie marketing efforts on a title-by-title, program-level, and aggregate basis. This role develops and oversees the strategy, development, execution, and assessment of title-specific marketing and media while shaping the overall approach for attendance marketing at AMC. Success in this role requires expertise in cross-channel marketing, project and account management, data analysis, and a results-driven mindset.

This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead integrated, multichannel movie marketing efforts on a title-by-title, program level, and aggregate basis.
  • Oversee film-focused marketing tactics to drive ticket sales, including website and app content, guest communications, and both paid and organic media.
  • Develop and oversee the strategy, development, execution, and assessment of title-specific marketing and media as well as establish and implement the overall approach for attendance marketing at AMC.
  • Develop marketing plans, write briefs, and lead projects through collaboration with cross-functional teams while optimizing end-to-end processes to drive better outcomes.
  • Conduct reporting and analysis of all attendance marketing initiatives, aggregating and assessing data to demonstrate results and make informed decisions.
  • Lead and develop a team while effectively collaborating cross-functionally to drive alignment, improvement, and business success.
What we need from you:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field.
  • 6+ years marketing experience, including extensive campaign management and account/ project leadership.
  • Proven record developing and implementing strategic, multichannel marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, responsiveness, and ownership.
  • Proven time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing tactics including website/app content, email and mobile app communications, paid/organic media, event marketing, and target audience segmentation.
  • Advanced written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams and collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to analyze data to uncover insights and opportunities that drive decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite tools like Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of the film industry and the guest experience throughout the moviegoing journey (discovery, purchase, attendance, and post-show).
  • Experience with Google Analytics, and Basecamp.
  • Experience in multichannel and multilocation marketing and media planning.
  • Strong account and project management skills.
  • Experience in budget, invoice, and billing management.
  • Expertise in reporting, analytics, and assessing return on investment (ROI).
  • Strategic planning and program management expertise.
  • Advanced negotiation skills.
