Opportunity at a Glance

The position will significantly contribute to the mission of Walden University's Office of Institutional Effectiveness: To provide university leaders and external partners with accurate and reliable data, services, and insights to facilitate data-informed decision-making and promote university effectiveness to support continuous improvement. This individual will assist academic leadership with researching objectives, analyzing statistical data, and creating reports or visuals that best communicate results; Candidates must have a strong commitment to making an impact, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Competency in managing projects from development, data collection, data aggregation, accuracy checking, and building user-friendly reports for dissemination of findings.

  • Proactively generates ideas for improvement in reporting as we as new ways of looking at information.

  • Design, execute, and assemble data reports for ad-hoc analysis

  • Serves as the College subject matter expert student related data.

  • Support multiple programmatic accreditation efforts.

  • Responsible for all phases of research design, including consulting with business partners to articulate research objectives, providing recommendations for appropriate research method, design of data analysis plan, report writing, and presentation of findings to stakeholders.

  • Document appropriate procedures, instructions, and rules to share knowledge and create standard operating procedures.

  • Produce analytical narratives of key findings, including actionable observations

  • Develops and maintains library of marketing surveys and research studies.

  • Completes other duties as assigned.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Related Field- Required

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in comparable higher education institutional research setting may be a possible substitute.

  • Experience managing research projects from start to successful completion. Required

  • Strong knowledge of Quantitative research methods and statistics.

  • Adept at questionnaire development, sample design, tab planning, analysis and reporting.

  • Proficiency in Power BI, Banner, SPSS, SQL, and Microsoft Office. Required, Google Cloud Platform.Preferred.

  • Strong research leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate findings.

  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to effectively interact with different organizational levels, including senior leadership.

  • Ability to derive insights from research findings and present them in easy-to-understand ways.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $49199.33 and $86253.75. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
