Job Description
Primary Purpose The Field Operator - Level II is an experienced member of the Operations team at the Port Arthur LNG export facility. This role reports to the Operations Supervisor, oversees the safe operation the facility's Liquefaction or Storage and Loading units in the field and assists in managing emergencies in assigned area. The Field Operator - Level II is expected to conduct duties independently, continue building on his/her knowledge and skills and seek out opportunities for growth. A strong appreciation and commitment to safety, as well as, compliance with policies and procedures are essential for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the facility. Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in the safe operation of the Port Arthur LNG export facility, including monitoring and maintaining Liquefaction or Storage and Loading units.
- Support the safety culture of the facility through adherence to all safety policies and procedures. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents.
- Participate in emergency response activities, following established procedures to handle incidents effectively and safely.
- Provide advanced support to the Operations Supervisor and other team members in managing plant processes and optimizing performance. Mentor and guide less experienced operators.
- Continuously monitor plant performance, identifying and addressing any issues to maintain optimal operation. Analyze data trends, perform diagnostics, and implement adjustments to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with Operation Supervisors, Engineering, Managers, and other team members regarding plant status and any operational concerns. Ensure all stakeholders are informed of current conditions and potential issues.
- Accurately document all operational activities, incidents, and changes in plant conditions, ensuring detailed and timely records.
- Participate in and lead ongoing training to stay current with plant operations, safety protocols, and industry best practices. Support the development of less experienced operators.
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Education
- Associate's Degree Associate degree in Process Technology or other related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Preferred
Experience
- 1-3 Petrochemical, Refining, or Oil & Gas. Required
- 3-5 Cryogenic Operations and Loading Experience Preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills. Intermediate
- Strong ability to follow best practices for operations Intermediate
- Knowledge of operating site safety, environmental, and emergency response programs Intermediate
- Ability to apply written and oral communication skills while presenting and participating in fruitful discussions with internal stakeholders Beginner
- Ability to understand the complexities and risk associated with an operating LNG facility and make necessary strategic decisions to operate the facility safely and reliably Intermediate
- Knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PPT, Visio to convey information with clarity through presentations and reports. Beginner
- Understanding of maintenance work process and permitting systems Intermediate
