Analyze and modelstructured data using advanced statistical methods and implement algorithms andsoftware needed to perform analyses. Build recommendation engines, spamclassifiers, sentiment analyzers and classifiers for unstructured andsemi-structured data. Cluster large amount of user generated content andprocess data in large-scale environments using Amazon EC2, Storm, Hadoop, andSpark. Perform machine learning, natural language, and statistical analysismethods, such as classification, collaborative filtering, association rules,sentiment analysis, topic modeling, timeseries analysis, regression,statistical inference, and validation methods. Help drive client engagementsfocused on big data and advanced business analytics, in diverse domains such asproduct development, marketing research, public policy, optimization, and riskmanagement. Communicate results and educate others through reports andpresentations. Perform explanatory data analyses, generate and test workinghypotheses, prepare and analyze historical data and identify patterns. WORK SCHEDULE: 40hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) JOBREQUIREMENTS: Must have a Master's degree orforeign equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering,Mathematics, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR aBachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, DataScience, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, and 5 years ofpost-bachelor's, progressive related work experience. Of the required experience, musthave 2 years of experience with the following: Command-line scripting, datastructures, and algorithms; Working in Linux environment processing largeamounts of data in a cloud environment; Utilizing machine learning, datavisualization, statistical modeling, data mining, or information retrieval;Data extraction and processing using MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Microsoft SQLServer, or Oracle; and Dashboarding software or platforms including Tableau orPower BI. Travel to various locationsthroughout the U.S. required up to 40%. Travel to various internationallocations required up to 40%. Telecommuting may be permittedwithin commutable distance from the office location, depending on businessneed. Employer will accept any suitablecombination of education, training, or experience.
