Minimum Qualifications

Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications
Paciolan experience. Specialized knowledge of ticket office functions such as season ticket renewal and the distribution process for all ticketed sports is preferred.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for independently managing high level day-to-day operations of the ticket office. A person in this position provides supervisory, project, and executive support to the UGA Athletics Ticket Office as well as oversees and coordinates the day-to-day activities. An employee assigned to this position may serve as the principle point for execution and oversight of Student Ticketing and management of all facets of Men's Basketball ticketing.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Excellent computer skills, including an extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask and work cooperatively. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental, NCAA, SEC and institutional rules and regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only a limited standardization exists.

Men's Basketball Ticket Management:

  • Independently manage all aspects of Men's Basketball ticketing.
  • Coordinate Men's Basketball season setup, ticket allocation, and event preparation.
  • Responds to and/or routes all incoming correspondence.
  • Create season, price codes, and reports in Paciolan ticketing software for ticket office, development, and ticket sales to use for Men's Basketball season.
  • Responsible for game day ticket operations including sales, will call and resolution.
  • Maintain active dialogue with sports facilitator, Director of Basketball Operations and Event Management Lead.
  • Coordinates pricing decisions with sport supervisors, marketing department, development staff and business office.
  • Works directly with the business office on the budget for ticket sales.
  • Works directly with marketing and sales manager on sales campaign/timeline for season tickets, single game tickets, and group tickets.
  • Includes postseason events, which will require travel.

  • Serve as direct report for Assistant Director of Ticket Operations and Ticket Operations Interns/Grad Assistants
  • Administer fair and timely staff evaluations for the Assistant Director of Ticket Operations
  • Create and Implement Interns/Grad Assistant's year long plan to prepare staff member for future full-time position
  • Supervise Men's Basketball-related part-time employees on game day and be the main point of contact for ticket operations staff
  • Employee training and development

  • Implement Student ticketing for Football, Men's Basketball, Baseball and Gymnastics.
  • Work with campus constituents (President's Office, Student Government Association, Athletic Board, Registrar and UGA Card Services) to plan and manage current and implement new student ticket policies for athletic events.

  • Maintains current and historical sales data to assist with analyzing results and related effectiveness of the ticket sales plans and initiatives implemented for men's basketball ticketed events
