Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented District Manager-Chefs Toys to lead our diverse sales operations and drive individual sales to achieve sales targets. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving growth, optimizing performance, and fostering a high-performing culture across our 12 retail stores and our critical outside route sales team. If you're a strategic thinker with a passion for both multi-unit retail excellence and efficient route distribution, and a proven track record of developing people, we want to hear from you.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for both our retail stores and outside route sales channels, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Team Development & Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of Store Managers and Route Sales Representatives, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer engagement.
  • Retail Operations Excellence: Oversee all aspects of retail store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, customer experience, and adherence to company standards to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Route Sales Optimization: Drive the efficiency and growth of our route sales division, including route planning, sales performance, new account acquisition, and customer retention within our established routes.
  • Individual Sales Ability: Drive significant individual sales while leading and developing a high level sales team.
  • Performance & Profitability: Analyze sales data, market trends, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for growth, implement corrective actions, and ensure the achievement of sales targets and profitability goals across both channels.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring seamless service and strong relationships for both cash-and-carry and outside sales accounts.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for sales processes, inventory management, logistics, and team training to enhance operational efficiency.



COMPETENCIES:



  • Proven Leader: Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in multi-unit retail management and route sales, preferably within a b2b distribution, or related industry
  • Dual Expertise: Demonstrated success in managing both brick-and-mortar retail operations and a multi-route, outside sales team.
  • Strategic & Analytical: Ability to analyze complex data, identify key insights, and translate them into actionable sales and operational plans.
  • Exceptional Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, from frontline staff to senior leadership.
  • People Developer: A natural coach and mentor who is passionate about building, training, and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Results-Driven: Track record of exceeding sales targets and driving profitability through effective leadership and innovative strategies.
  • Adaptable & Resilient: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



  • 8 - 12 years of experience in retail management, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a multi-store leadership role.
  • Individual sales success. Sales driven.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, route sales, merchandising principles, and customer service best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated area as needed.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
