We are currently seeking to hire a Maintenance Leader (Reliability Engineering) for our Specialty Rolled Products facility in Vandergrift, PA.

This position will primarily work a daylight schedule (8am-5pm) Monday through Friday, but will be responsible for Weekend Coverage (every ten weeks) and will occasionally work OT in the event of a breakdown.

Essential Functions



  • Provide engineering expertise and support for maintaining equipment.
  • Engineer and coordinate capital projects and interface with outside vendors in the process to implement cost effective and timely upgrades to equipment.
  • Develop standard operating procedures to improve maintenance quality and reduce or eliminate problems. Seek opportunities to solve problems to the root cause, eliminating future failures.
  • Initiate improvements to the equipment. Use breakdown data to evaluate highest frequency of failures, and then develop strategies to mitigate the problem.
  • Troubleshoot and inspect problems, analyze and resolve issues accurately and efficiently.
  • Use predictive technology to drive equipment reliability. Seek opportunities to replace time based PM's with condition based evaluations.
  • Utilize the RCM process to ensure the plant's equipment reliability and performance functions as required to assist the plant in producing the required level of quality and targeted Cost of Quality
  • This position will also lead a team of Craft Maintenance Technicians and assist in day to day breakdowns and scheduled work assignments


Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering


    • OR; Four-years equivalent experience in heavy industrial manufacturing maintenance reliability programs



Preferred Qualifications



  • A minimum of two years of experience supervising employees in a manufacturing environment.
