General Summary


As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for achieving a zero accident rate through observation, training and documentation of safety, fire prevention and occupational health-related laws and regulations. In the position you will be responsible for coordinating regulatory programs and its permitting applications. Focus on finding opportunities to reduce safety and occupational health liabilities while providing leadership in the development of responsible programs that represent our culture. Plan and administer training and awareness programs in safety prevention and protection, and other regulatory issues.

Responsibilities



  • Planning, Implementation, KPI management for safety, occupational health and fire prevention
  • Managers the development and implementation of all safety and occupational health programs
  • Conduct compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Occupational Health, Safety and management.
  • Conduct detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis
  • Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs to all employees
  • Conduct on-going training regarding safety and occupational health for all employees
  • Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers and regulatory agencies
  • Maintain filing systems regarding worker training and safety (OSHA Logs, HazCom, Training Logs, etc.)
  • Co-ordinate and manage all worker's compensation claims and programs.
  • Maintain accident statistics, analyze trends and propose/take action as necessary
  • Responsible for implementing safety and occupational health management system (ISO 45001) operation
  • Responsible for internal and external audit programs and evaluation process.


Qualifications



  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the field of safety and occupational health management.
  • Required Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
  • Preferred Master's degree in Risk Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
  • Preferred EHS relational skills and certificates (CSP)
