AGE Solutions is looking for a Systems Engineer to support a DoD agency's cloud hosted environment. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration and maintenance of system hardware/software/related infrastructure.
- Provides technical support, guidance and hands-on delivery in the planning, implementation and ongoing operation of databases.
- Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
- Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and regulatory requirements.
- Documents specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans and results.
- Depicts complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; communicates project objectives, scope and status to project teams.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience:
- Five (5) years of overall professional experience in the engineering field.
- Five (5) years' experience in Oracle and/or SQL Server database administration and analysis support.
- Experience supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
- Citizenship and Clearance:
- US Citizenship is required.
- Must have and maintain a current DoD SECRET security clearance.
- Certifications:
- Must have one of the following IAT II certifications:
- CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP CE, Security+ CE, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH
- Must have one of the following certifications:
- AWS CDB Specialty, AWS CSA Associate, AWS CSA Professional, AWS CS Specialty, AWS CSO Admin Associate, MCA: DS, MCA: SQL Server, MCM: SQL Server, MCSA/MCSE, or OCP
- Skills:
- Fully trained and experienced with Windows Server 2016, HP-UX, Oracle/SQL databases, database performance tuning, database design, backup and recovery, system analysis, documentation, and security practices.
- Location:
- This is a remote role within the United States requiring occasional travel (approximately 10%)
Work Environment and Physical Demand:
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Compensation: $115,000 - $125,000
