Safety Trainer

IES Commercial Inc is seeking a full-time Safety Trainer in central Nebraska.

Job Summary

1. Conducts training on safety, technical skills, compliance with IES safety policies and procedures, accident prevention techniques, and operation of motorized equipment
2. Delivers safety training as needed and/or required by IES OSHA, state or local safety standards
3. Develops and prepares training materials and presentations
4. Maintains tracking database on each employee's training
5. Assists with maintaining safety files in compliance with IES, OSHA and other regulatory organization guidelines
6. Other duties as assigned by Division Safety Manager
7. Some travel required

Qualifications

1. Degree in EHS or 3 or more years related experience preferred
2. Knowledge of OSHA, state, federal safety regulations and electrical construction industry practices
3. Proficient computer and communication skills (written, verbal)
4. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and field employees
5. Maintain driving qualifications as required in the IES Fleet Safety Program
6. Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, drug test, and MVR check
