TITLE:

Onsite Controller

REPORTS TO:

Director of Operations

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Working under general direction of the Director of Operations. Position is responsible for providing leadership and coordination of the sites financial accounting and reporting functions. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and related financial reporting areas
  • Liaise with internal/external auditors as needed on internal controls, GAAP, and related areas
  • Position maintains overall responsibility for the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program.
  • Executes streamlined accounting processes and financial statement accuracy. Leads and maintains the overall responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting for the site.
  • Coordinate with the local businesses to ensure appropriate procedures are applied to customer collections.
  • Assess, make recommendations for, and execute reorganizations were deemed appropriate to streamline and remove cost from the accounting function across the site, while still driving improved quality and results.
  • Meet deadlines for monthly reporting requirements.
  • Create an environment that provides direction and accountability and promotes continuous improvement while maintaining operating effectiveness.
  • Build effective organizational relationships and promote collaboration across the businesses; effectively balance the competing priorities of difference constituencies.


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE


  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required. MBA or CPA designation preferred
  • 10+ years or progressive experience in Finance/Accounting related positions
  • Public accounting or internal audit background a plus
  • In-depth understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and requirements
  • In-depth understanding of US GAAP. Familiarity with the UK GAAP a plus
  • Demonstrated success in P&L management within a diverse business structure.
  • Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Good working knowledge of integrated manufacturing/financial systems
  • Problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and functional level
  • Ability to manage a large, diverse and geographically separated group
  • Ability to work constructively under pressure and respond resourcefully to change and ambiguity
  • Ability to maintain a global outlook and appreciation for individual perspectives and backgrounds
  • Ability to consistently project a positive image and maintain high standards of personal integrity


WORK AUTHORIZATION





    • Must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) to access export-controlled technology.




WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Working conditions generally consist of office and shop floor environments. Other than safety glasses, additional personal protective equipment generally not required.
  • Weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines and schedules.
