The Curriculum Coordinator will work closely with the curriculum leadership and will collaborate with faculty and academic leaders to analyze, develop and implement new and modified programs and course development. Utilize databases to meet the reporting needs of state course/program approval, and request from the administration. Work requires judgment and analysis in making decisions according to established policies and procedures at the district and state levels.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
-
- Maintains and updates databases that support the creation/modification of courses and programs on the districts' and WTCS system.
- Utilizes databases to meet the reporting needs of state course/program approval, and requests from the administration.
- Supports the development and modification of programs and courses according to the Guided Pathways model, instructional design theory as well as local and state guidelines.
- Establishes and maintains working relationships with Deans, Directors, Faculty, and others.
- Provide faculty and academic leaders with support and guidance for program and course organization.
- Project manage new curricular projects including timelines and resources.
- Coordinates cross-departmental curriculum projects.
- Monitor the development of course outcome summaries.
- Act as backup to the Curriculum Manager.
- Work with Institutional Research on state requirements and compliance.
- Facilitate curriculum development meetings/focus groups.
- Serve on related committees throughout the college community.
- Attend required local and state-called meetings.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned for the efficient operations of the division.

Qualifications
-
Compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards/requirements, as well as all MATC policies and procedures. Education and Experience
OR;
Bachelor's degree in Curriculum Development, Data Systems, Technical Education or related field and at least one (1) year of progressively responsible work experience in higher education or Curriculum Development or a closely related field.
Preferred Education
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Thorough understanding of curriculum development and modification processes within a higher-education environment. Understand and respect the integrity of complex database systems. Query building and report writing. Sound knowledge of student information systems. Ability to effectively plan projects within a complex organization involving many departments with multiple layers of guidelines/rules. Ability to multi-task and prioritize several high-priority projects in parallel without compromising integrity or fidelity. Ability to build relationships to solve problems and achieve goals. Ability to clearly and concisely convey ideas and information. Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to work in teams. Collaboration is essential to the outcome of all areas Ability to speak English. Customer service skills and organization skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift up to 15lbs, carry, and push up to 20 lbs. and ability pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs and a ladder and maintain balance.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, hear and speak.
- Sitting/Standing/Walking: 45% of time spent sitting, 40 % of time standing, 15% of time walking.

Supplemental Information

Start Date This position supports the Academic Services department. This position will be based out of the Downtown Campus. Hours: This position requires 40 hours per week. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday.
