Platform Engineer
Washington, DC Pay from: $120.000 per year MUST: Experienced Platform Engineer Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance 7+ years of experience in enterprise software development, integration, and platform management. Strong experience with ServiceNow, MuleSoft, Okta, Box, Socrata, and Zendesk. Hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot), API Gateway, AWS cloud services, API security, and authentication (OAuth/OIDC, SAML, SCIM). Proficiency in CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, SQL databases (Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2), and automation scripting (Python, Bash, Node.js). Knowledge of XML, XSLT, JSON, REST, SOAP, and API development best practices. Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients. Must have strong written and verbal communication. Must be able to work independently, with little to no oversight. Bachelors degree preferred DUTIES: Administer, configure, and optimize ServiceNow, MuleSoft, Okta, Box, Socrata, and Zendesk to ensure seamless platform operations. Develop and manage API integrations between enterprise platforms using MuleSoft, Java (Spring Boot), REST/SOAP APIs, AWS services, and DataWeave. Implement Okta-based authentication (SSO, MFA, OAuth/OIDC, SAML) for secure platform access. Automate workflows and deployments using ServiceNow automation, Terraform, Bamboo, Jenkins, Docker, and AWS (ECS, S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Secrets Manager). Configure Box and Zendesk integrations for data synchronization and customer service automation. Manage and monitor data workflows in Socrata, ensuring efficient data processing and integration with external systems. Troubleshoot platform issues using Splunk, Postman, SOAP UI, and collaborate with teams to resolve infrastructure and application challenges.
