Job Overview The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing a variety of skilled maintenance tasks to ensure that buildings, equipment, and systems operate efficiently and safely. This includes routine inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of facilities in accordance with safety, quality, and operational standards. Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Perform routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Conduct basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, grounds and carpentry repairs.
- Monitor and maintain building systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, alarm and building management systems.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs of work performed.
- Assist with office setups, furniture moves, and general workspace organization.
- Support, oversight, direct, and advise outside service providers performing facilities maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with local safety codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment.
- Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives as directed.
- Perform and Improve Preventative Maintenance on all facilities related equipment.
- Assist with ice and snow removal on walkways to ensure safety standards.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Respond to plant wide hazardous and non-hazardous waste removals and spill cleanup and disposal.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in facilities/manufacturing maintenance or a similar role.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to demonstrate troubleshooting skills, communicate effectively and work in a team-based environment.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings and instruction manuals.
- Basic computer skills (MS office, maintenance management software, building management system).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions
- Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions.
- May work extended hours including evenings and weekends, as required to support special projects, emergency work and maintenance, occasional on call support.
- Work may be performed indoors and outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather.
- May involve working at heights.
- Regularly requires physical activity, such as lifting heavy objects and carrying tools/equipment, climbing ladders, and standing for long periods.
Hourly Pay: $25-29/hr depending on experience #LI-Onsite #LI-YA2
