Dean Rusk/Events Fellow

The Davidson College Fellows Program has an opening for the position of Dean Rusk Advisor/Events Fellow beginning late summer 2025. The Fellow will advise students on grant proposals, assist with program events, and support the work of the Dean Rusk Director. This is a full-time, entry-level position for one year with the possibility of extending another year.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Advise students on developing and writing strong Dean Rusk grant proposals.
  • Attend Dean Rusk events with external speakers, including evening events, greeting guests, taking photos, and assisting with technology set-up needs for speakers.
  • Assist with developing student-focused programs (e.g. grant development, Global Corp, Bliss Photo Contest).
  • Work directly with Dean Rusk Director to assist with projects/tasks as needed.


Required Qualifications:



  • Must be a member of the Davidson Class 2025 or recent graduate who has been out of school for no more than two years.
  • Strong desire to support Dean Rusk International Studies programs and initiatives.
  • Proficiency with computer skills (Google and MS Office Suite, Wildcat Sync, EMS, Social Media, HTML, Zoom webinar, Canva).
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • A former recipient of a Dean Rusk grant for service, experiential, or research.
  • Experienced a semester or year abroad.
