This role supervises salaried employees' system wide that are responsible for ensuring that underground construction stakeholders are properly educated in order to prevent damages to our natural gas facilities. Provides technical training, feedback and professional development for field investigators. Ensures that investigators are completing damage prevention reports and investigations in a timely manner. This position may oversee incremental programs that are geared towards reducing the Company's damage rate metric. This position will be located in the North Carolina service territory. What You Will Do:
Who You Are: Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of directly related experience; or Associates Degree and 7+ years of directly related experience; or High school diploma and 9+ years of directly related experience. Directly Related Experience: Supervisory experience, pipeline operations and maintenance (transmission or distribution), integrity management implementation, operator qualification, technical training, pipelines safety and compliance, construction and inspection, OJT training or project management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to): Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 50 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement. Mental Requirements (Include but are not limited to): Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
