DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this crucial role, work involves directing the overall psychological services department including the development of policies and procedures, and the evaluation of existing programs. This includes all aspects of residential life, active treatment, and compliance with ICF/ID regulations to assure federal subsidies to operate the facility are maintained. You will be supporting persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism. As Manager, work includes reviewing and evaluating subordinate performance and providing ongoing professional development with respect to advancing existing knowledge and skills regarding advances in the professional field. You will have the opportunity to coordinate the psychological services program with other disciplines and integrate new policies and procedures into existing programs and plans.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • On call hours for weekends and evenings on a rotation. Hours may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime and travel as needed
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist; or
  • One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, mental retardation and/or behavioral dysfunction.

Special Requirement:

  • You must possess a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possess a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.

Other Requirements:

  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical exam.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
