Job Description

US:MD:HUGHESVILLE
PART TIME

PURPOSE:

This list provides a general statement of duties to provide the intern with the opportunity to learn the standards within the industry and the cooperative. This list is not considered to be exclusive and is subject to change.

THE JOB FUNCTION INCLUDES:

A. Provides support in the Benefits, Wellness, and Personnel areas of Human Resources.

B. Collecting mail, distributing and scanning documents to appropriate HR personnel.

C. Scanning project - retiree files and pension related documents to clear file cabinets.

D. Assists with spreadsheets and other data tracking mechanisms in our Benefits and Retirement programs.

E. Assist with document retention and electronic files.

F. Assists with Wellness program including but not limited to onsite events (such as Farmer's Market or Blood Drive), obtaining materials for Wellness magazine publication and other items as needed.

G. Assist with New Hire Orientation.

H. Assists employees or vendors by phone or in person.

I. Provides support in the Benefits, Wellness, and Personnel areas of Human Resources with the potential to support other areas of Human Resources as needed.

J. Maintain good relations in all contacts with general public and coworkers.

K. Observes all safety rules.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

* The student must be a junior or senior in college pursuing a major in Human Resources.

* Must be a United States Citizen

* Must have the physical ability to perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the job which include, but are not limited to, walking, bending, sitting, lifting and carrying loads averaging 25 pounds.
