Position Summary The Director, Pharmacy and Clinical Applications is to direct, organize, recommend and assist in the implementation of key strategic initiatives that are vital to the success of advancing MemorialCare's Enterprise Epic system. This role oversees all Pharmacy, Perioperative, Anesthesiology, and Oncology build to ensure it aligns with the directives of Executive Leadership and complies with Systemness across the organization. The position will work directly with other Epic Build teams and other IS leaders. The Director will work directly with Executive level Information Services management in gaining organizational commitment for the successful functionality within Epic. They will evaluate key changes to the epic system to ensure alignment with company strategic initiatives. Work with senior IS and Operational C-Level executives to plan, budget, propose and advocate system upgrades, replacements and additions that support the business plans of the organization. The Director will hire and manage staff that support these areas. They will function as a IS leader and a key point of contact and work with other IS leaders to ensure high quality and outstanding service. Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job * Directs all Pharmacy, Perioperative, Anesthesia and Oncology build teams to design, evaluate and implement Epic development and advancement, while maintaining systemness. * Participate as a key member of the IS Management team and follow Governance and Change control procedures * Work directly with Operational Executive leaders, department leaders, physician leaders and VAT members, to establish standards and advancements of the Epic system to meet the needs of the business. * Ensure documentation of core functionality of the Epic build related to these areas * Collaborate with Super User Department to identify and communicate changes throughout the health system in related fields. * Oversight of various apps that work closely with Epic clinical applications. * Document, communicate, and enforce policies for standardizing systems, infrastructure and software as necessary. * Responsible for the overall development, implementation and oversight of application management policies and procedures to ensure integrity and availability. * Manage staff and perform regular evaluations on performance and provide continual feedback * Mentor other members of the teams. * Supervises, educates and trains staff related to business, information systems, systems analysis and project management through on-the-job instruction and formal training programs. * Prioritize and provide guidance to team to help them prioritize. * Identify and resolve problems of varying complexity as well as conduct root cause analysis of problems, taking action to prevent recurring instances of issues. * Take on assignments as required to respond quickly and positively to new situations and directions * Ensures continuous delivery of application support through oversight of service level agreements with end user departments via systems monitoring, programs and application performance. * Complies with all IS Policies, Procedures and Standards including: Project Management tools/methodologies, Network/Systems/Workstation Security, HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations associated with Electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI) *Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications.
