The Associate EHS Specialist supports the administration and daily operations of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department. This role is instrumental in executing EHS reporting, providing field service support, managing regulatory compliance documentation, and ensuring timely communication with both field employees and management. The position also plays a key role in supporting Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and labeling processes in partnership with the Regulatory and Product Management teams, as well as maintaining compliance with third-party safety requirements.

Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

Compensation: $27-32/hr

Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote



Responsibilities

    Support Safety Data Sheets and product labeling processes, including creation, updates, and distribution.
  • Maintain customer compliance platforms (200+ clients) and ensure regulatory accuracy.
  • Write EHS documentation, including work instructions, policies, safety moments, and SharePoint content.
  • Facilitate the Safety Steward Program and support safety training initiatives, and the PPE and respirator programs.
  • Complete OSHA 300 log reporting and assist with regulatory compliance tasks.
  • Support Regulatory team and respond to EHS & Regulatory inquiries in a timely manner.


Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree required, technical degree (Chemistry, biology, engineering preferred)
  • Background in Chemistry or Occupational Safety strongly preferred
  • Experience with regulatory compliance work such as completing state & federal applications, writing Safety Data Sheets, navigating requirements of UL, NSF, or other non-government regulatory agencies, OSHA, EPA.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to process and resolve support requests efficiently.
