As the supervisor you will provide direct supervision to instructors and training specialists responsible for providing training solutions for the Gas groups. This role is in charge of coordinating the analysis, craft, development, implementation, and evaluation of training for gas and technical services employees. The incumbent leads all aspects of training development and delivery activities including timelines, estimated development hours, and training implementation dates. Work location for this role is Gastonia, NC or Raleigh, NC. What You Will Do:
Who You Are:
Directly Related Experience includes: Supervisory experience, pipeline operations and maintenance (transmission or distribution), technical training, adult education, pipeline safety and compliance, construction and inspection, on-the-job trainer, project management/project lead or instructional design.
Preferred Qualifications:
Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to): Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 50 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement. Mental Requirements (Both field & office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone. We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
