Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide technical support for the Service Integration Office under the Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) program at Kennedy Space Center. This is a full-time position.



Responsibilities

    Provide support for the IT directorate's Artemis II Launch Center Readiness Review (LCRR) and Certificate of Flight Readiness (CoFR) integration for technical planning, product identification, system artifacts and certifications data management for LCRR / CoFR package integration.
  • Perform requirements management and process application supporting formal testing (e.g., verification, validation, regression, acceptance, qualification).
  • Develop and support briefings for management and technical review boards.
  • Create and/or modify documents such as Design Verification Matrix, Verification Test Plans and Procedures, Qualification Test Procedures in accordance with NASA regulations.
  • Guide teams through project and system lifecycles with knowledge of the NPR 7120.5, NPR 7120.7, NPR 7123.1 processes and the KDP-P-2713 KSC technical review process.
  • Provide leadership in the IT directorate and serve as a liaison to the customer program/project teams.


Qualifications

5+ years experience in a systems engineering role. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Must have strong systems engineering experience. Must have a foundational understanding of NASA KNPR 8040.1, NASA Configuration Management Process, NPR 7120.7, NASA IT Program and Project Management Requirements, NPR 7120.5, NASA Space Flight Program and Project Management Requirements, 7123.1, NASA Systems Engineering Processes and Requirements, and KSC Technical Review Process, KDP-P-2713. Experience working on each stage of the system development life cycle from initiation through deployment/sustainment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including OneNote and One Drive as well as SharePoint. Familiarity with NASA and Kennedy Space Center processes desired. Able to communicate with management, technical staff, and end users in a clear and professional manner. Experience with engineering practices, techniques, and standards. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present technical presentations. Able to represent complex data in diagrams or through other techniques that communicate precise information to both business and technical staff. Must be a US citizen.
