Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and analytical Electronics Engineer to join our team and support circuit card-level diagnostics and test development for aerospace electronic assemblies. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering schematics, troubleshooting electronic circuit cards down to the component level, and developing robust procedures and test fixtures that enhance our diagnostic capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Circuit Troubleshooting:

Diagnose electronic circuit cards down to the component level using schematics, test equipment, and systematic analysis methods.

* Schematic Interpretation:

Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and circuit schematics to support failure analysis and testing.

* Procedure Development:

Develop clear and repeatable troubleshooting procedures for common failure modes on circuit cards and subassemblies.

* Test Fixture Design:

Design and build basic board-level test fixtures to aid in functional validation and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies.

* Collaborative Test Development:

Partner with test technicians and cross-functional teams to create board-level troubleshooting tests based on test station or subassembly failure data.

* Continuous Improvement:

Participate in root cause investigations and support corrective action processes to reduce repeat failures and improve diagnostic throughput.

Qualifications:

* Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

* Experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics troubleshooting and test development, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing environments.

* Skills & Competencies:

o Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit theory.

o Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.

o Proficiency in reading and analyzing complex schematics and BOMs.

o Ability to design simple hardware test tools and fixtures.

o Clear written and verbal communication skills.

o Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Familiarity with IPC standards and electronic rework techniques

* Experience in a repair station or MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) environment

* Exposure to software-controlled test environments or automated test systems

Working Conditions:

* This position will require hands-on work in a lab or repair floor setting.
