MAA is currently accepting applications for the position of Administrative Assistant, Executive (Administrative Officer III) within the Office of Commercial Management (OCM) at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintaining electronic and paper contract records and documents including leases, permits and other agreements for all Office of Commercial Management (OCM) contracts to include updating certificate of insurances and tenant point of contacts.
  • Acting as the Database administrator/coordinator of the Airport Business and Revenue Manager (ABRM) program to include data entry, data maintenance, and generation of periodic Contract Summary and Critical Dates reports for issuance in OCM and other MAA departments. Providing expertise and training to other MAA employees who use ABRM.
  • Maintaining electronic calendar for the Director and OCM team; coordinating and ordering from inside and/or outside vendors, coordinating conference rooms and business meetings.
  • Responsible for OCM payroll timekeeping duties, leave requests, parking hangtags, and various OCM administrative duties.
  • Support OCM staff with coordinating calendars, conference rooms, and catering for business meetings.
  • Reviewing critical revenue, producing work product of Director, Deputy Directors, Managers and Contracting Officers for completeness, accuracy, punctuation, grammar, conformance to established policies, etc. and edit as necessary.
  • Reviewing all department invoices for accuracy and preparing them for the Director of OCM's signature.
  • Monitoring the department's budget and if needed submitting a request for a Transfer of Funds to the Budget Manager.

This position is located at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport in Anne Arundel County, MD.


Qualifications

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Three years' experience in administrative or professional work. *This experience must have involved administrative support for senior level leadership. One year of this experience must include analyzing, reporting, tracking, managing and maintaining contracts.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credit hours for each year of the required experience.

2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university for the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Licenses & Certifications

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties that require operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the state of Maryland.
