About the Role

Ensures short- term production plans align with forecasts, customer orders, inventory targets, and delivery timelines. while exemplifying Primient's values of integrity and excellence. Collaborating across supply chain, sales, customer service, manufacturing and external suppliers/vendors, this role ensures seamless execution of production schedules for the 0-3-month window to meet customer needs and operational goals. Manage inventory and service levels to meet customer needs while complying with and executing company policies and procedures. Acts as the primary contact for all communication between customer service and operations.Responsible for solutions for customer's deliveries, minimizing logistics costs, preparing detailed schedules and efficiently managing inventory.

Key responsibilities: Specialist, Supply & Inventory Planner

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Acts as the single point of contact between customer service and manufacturing operations, helping in setting priorities as well as managing escalations where necessary.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to ensure a smooth and consistent pull of contracted products by analyzing customer data.
  • Provide input to and align with the Global Supply Planning Manager on replenishment forecasts and supply constraints.
  • Use Primient planning systems to develop and manage production schedules for each facility to satisfy service level and inventory goals, while accounting for planned downtime.
  • Adjust schedule dates and SKU level priorities, changing lot sizes when necessary to meet manufacturing requirements and constraints, economical order quantities, inventory targets and/or to react to unplanned production issues or increased sales.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and set priorities during disruptions and productivity issues, escalating risks to managers and the business as needed.
  • Develop recommendations through scenario modeling to resolve conflicts in supply and demand.
  • Approve customer orders based on product availability, forecast, inventory levels, and lead times.
  • Adhere to department key performance indicators (KPIs) and responding to available to promise (ATP) sales orders to achieve a 95% response time goal. Ensure timely material placement in warehouses to minimize scheduling issue failures (PXO FATP).
  • Manage warehouse inventories to ensure first in first out (FIFO) compliance, address, short pallets, and resolve blocked or aging materials. Minimize and reduce inventory of unwanted materials through collaboration with Sales, Customer Service and Quality.
  • Schedule shipments of base materials to other locations to meet monthly production and demand plans, and purchase imported materials from Brazil to support replenishment sales in North America, utilizing the Consensus Demand Forecast.
  • Recommends, implements, and documents new procedures and policies to improve the effectiveness of the operation.
  • Define business requirements and prepare training materials to improve the effectiveness and standardization of MRP/ERP systems use.
  • Cross train with other Planning functions and act as a backup as needed
  • Processes paperwork and maintain records as required
  • Performs other duties as required.
About You

Desired Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of S&OP, Demand Planning and short-term planning (SOE) concepts: capacity modeling, MRP, EOQ, inventory projections.
  • Basic knowledge of balance sheet, cash flow, working capital analysis and costs analysis
  • Knowledge of end-to-end production flow from raw materials sources to end customer delivery
  • Experience and success in managing to supply chain KPI's: DOS, Inventory Turns, OTIF
  • Supply chain technologies and systems, including ERP, logistics software, supply chain analytics, and forecasting
  • Order Management and systems, particularly SAP
  • Experience implementing best practices and documenting process
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Business Objects or BW
  • Microsoft applications

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in supply chain, production planning, purchasing, or customer service (required)
  • Excellent analytical skillsets and demonstrated ability working with large data sets with Excel, Access, etc. (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in ERP and MRP systems, such as SAP (preferred)
  • Experience in Inventory management (preferred)
  • Certifications in APICS CSCP, Six Sigma, and Lean Management (preferred)
Total RewardsThe annual pay range estimated for this position is $66,441.60 - $83,052.00 and is bonus eligible.

Please note that while this range reflects the full spectrum of compensation available for this role, individual compensation will be determined based on several factors including your experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities. During the interview process there will be an opportunity to discuss how your background fits into the pay range.
