At AZ Blue, we have a hybrid workforce strategy, called Workability, that offers flexibility with how and where employees work. Our positions are classified as hybrid, onsite or remote. While the majority of our employees are hybrid, the following classifications drive our current minimum onsite requirements:

  • Hybrid People Leaders: must reside in AZ, required to be onsite at least twice per week

  • Hybrid Individual Contributors: must reside in AZ, unless otherwise cited within this posting, required to be onsite at least once per week

  • Hybrid 2 (Operational Roles such as but not limited to: Customer Service, Claims Processors, and Correspondence positions): must reside in AZ, unless otherwise cited within this posting, required to be onsite at least once per month

  • Onsite: daily onsite requirement based on the essential functions of the job

  • Remote: not held to onsite requirements, however, leadership can request presence onsite for business reasons including but not limited to staff meetings, one-on-ones, training, and team building

This position is hybrid within the state of AZ only.This hybrid work opportunity requires residency, and work to be performed, within the State of Arizona.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Works collaboratively with and on behalf of the CSO to develop, manage, report, and successfully execute strategic initiatives, routine business operations, and special projects within the Strategy Department. This role requires a technically proficient leader who can identify manual or inefficient processes and design, implement, and scale automated solutions that drive operational efficiency and strategic alignment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully automating business processes and leveraging technology to solve complex organizational challenges. Works closely with Executive leaders and other internal and external partners to develop and monitor metrics of success, create solutions, and remove barriers to ensure business goals are met.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Work Experience
  • 5 years of management experience
  • 5 years of experience in developing short- and long-range strategic plans, forecasting, and budgeting
  • 3 years of experience designing and implementing automated business processes using tools such as RPA (Robotic Process Automation), scripting, or workflow automation platforms (e.g., Alteryx, Power Automate, UiPath, Zapier, etc.)
  • 2 years of project management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field

Preferred Work Experience
  • 7 years of management experience
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare administration or related executive management

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a key strategic partner to the CSO demonstrating strong communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Lead the identification, design, and implementation of automation opportunities across strategic and operational workflows.
  • Assist CSO to develop, organize, and create implementation monitoring and reporting of the corporate strategic plan including all initiatives and the metrics of the plan and initiatives thereof.
  • Evaluate current manual processes and develop scalable automation strategies to improve efficiency, reduce administrative expenses, enhance data accuracy, and support the organization achieving its strategic goals and metrics.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure automation solutions are aligned with organizational goals and technology standards.
  • Develop, organize, and monitor implementation and reporting of the corporate strategic plan, including all initiatives and associated metrics.
  • Monitor projects, ensuring the initiatives meets milestones, deliverables, budget and objectives.
  • Maintain effective working relationships to ensure teamwork in achieving corporate goals.
  • Provide leadership to staff and other professionals through industry excellence, professional behavior and innovative thinking.
  • Attend strategy and other organization meetings and participate as a member of the Strategy leadership team.
  • Identify and engage as assigned in opportunities to achieve administrative efficiencies while maintaining service and improving quality.
  • Coordinate activities between multiple divisions to achieve desired results.
  • The position requires a full-time work schedule. Full-time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements.
