The Supervisor, Revenue Integrity is responsible for oversight of the activities and functions of a department. Provides functional expertise to staff and leadership. Ensures effective use of system resources. Participates in standards of practice and process improvement activities. Participates in hiring, oversees daily productivity, and creates staffing schedule. Ensures policy and procedures are followed by staff.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:



  • Five (5) years experience in a Revenue Integrity, Coding or Auditing division.
  • Experience required with reimbursement methodologies, auditing of medical records to support billed services, appealing denied services, evaluating services for medical necessity, and various electronic health information systems.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of agency personnel, patients, physicians and external contacts.
  • Knowledge of Federal/State/County/Commercial Insurance Payers requirements


Required Certification/Registration:



  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), from American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from American Academy of Professional Coders, or Certified Internal Auditor from Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors (AHIA), or Certified Medical Audit Specialist by American Association of Medical Audit Specialists (AAMAS);
  • OR Associates Degree (preferred in health-care related field, business, finance or accounting) or Health Care Professional License (i.e. nursing, radiology, respiratory therapy)


Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:



  • 5+ years of working in a multi-hospital system including operations, redesign and project management or healthcare collections/finance/patient accounting.
  • Ability to read and analyze payer contracts and legal documents.
  • Epic experience.
  • Leadership experience.

Minimum Rate (USD) : 40.97 - Maximum Rate (USD) : 59.51
