Description

Wage Scale: $93,158 - $127,813 annually

Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret quality and engineering documents for products, systems, components, or any modifications. Identifies functional problems and suggests solutions. Defines internal quality control standards. Documents and analyzes quality and non-conformance cases and provides regular progress reports. Ensures quality procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards.

Duties and Responsibilities



  • Perform batch file reviews for all customers. Achieve and maintain mandated customer delegated inspector status as required.
  • Conduct PO reviews and provide feedback to the sales team with exceptions.
  • Conduct internal and external audits as necessary to ensure compliance to quality standards.
  • Generate customer COCs as needed, review customer COAs for accuracy prior to submittal back to Sales.
  • Review customer documentation, process and engineering changes with respect to CMA QMS.
  • Administer document control processes, record retention, operator qualification and stamp control, supplier surveys.
  • Perform root cause and corrective action to respond to customer complaints.
  • Issue and review Supplier Corrective Action Requests and calculate supplier performance rating.
  • Ability to conduct all tasks associated with Level I Quality Engineer.


Skills and Specifications



  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.


  • Ability to utilize/operate a computer, peripheral equipment and appropriate software, such as Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.


  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of record keeping techniques and procedures.
  • Experience with SPC systems, statistical methods and software is desired.
  • Ability to develop close working relationships across departments.
  • Skill in coaching, developing, and training others.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills required.
  • Understanding of industry quality standards (i.e. AS9100, Nadcap.) preferred.


Education and Qualifications



  • Bachelors Degree (Bachelors of Science preferred) and 2 years applicable experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This position involves working with technologies and information which are subject to U.S. export control regulations. Under these regulations, Toray CMA must review certain candidate information including citizenship, basis of United States work authorization and country of origin. This information would be used for export control screening purposes only.

Ability to perform advanced mathematical computations such as analysis, statistics, and significant data or number manipulation. Ability to give complete directions and to understand and apply work specifications in the completion of work tasks. The ability to hear, speak, use hands/fingers and the repetitive motions of hands/wrists are frequent. Ability to occasionally lift 10 pounds. Vision abilities require the adjustment and focus of sight.
