Responsible for coordination of weekly Cancer Conference and provides facilitation support for various cancer services accreditations. Supplies information, maintains files, produces correspondence, and other secretarial duties including those which may be complex and/or confidential in nature. Works directly with the Cancer Committee quality coordinator and the department director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Prior clerical office experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Associates degree.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Responsible for coordination of weekly cancer conference (tumor board).

2. Maintains all cancer conference tracking per cancer program standards requirements.

3. Coordinates meetings and follow up activities for Cancer Committee and the Breast Program Leadership Team.

4. Produces minutes and tracks attendance for Cancer Services meetings.

5. Assists Cancer Services director with completion of the CoC accreditation SAR.

6. Assists Cancer Services director with maintenance of other accreditation activities including NAPBC, QOPI and APEX.

7. Assists WVUH Cancer Registry for limited CCMC specific registry needs.

8. Supports Cancer Services Leadership with clerical support.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Ability to be scheduled for work based on operational needs of the hospital.

2. Possesses the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guests.

3. Computer experience with Microsoft software and other database application software.

4. Able to work independently

5. Familiarity with medical terminology.
