Description

The Marketing Coordinatoris responsible for delivering qualified leads in support of energy efficiency program initiatives sponsored by partner utilities. The Marketing Coordinator will use a wide variety of marketing strategies to cultivate relationships with business owners and managers, with the specific intent of presenting the benefits of the energy efficiency programs, and to convince the customer to move forward with company-provided services. The individual uses set parameters to assess each facility's eligibility to participate in the utilities' programs.

Responsibilities:



  • Conduct person to person canvassing within RISE's service territory.
  • Distribute marketing materials to qualified leads.
  • Use of telemarketing, direct mail and in-person visits to drive leads.
  • Visually evaluate potential clients' current lighting situation to assess their needs.
  • Perform administrative tasks in support of marketing efforts.
  • Perform ad hoc project roles as directed by the manager.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and the ability to travel daily to customers' businesses.
  • Proven customer support experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Serve as a resource to others.
  • Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements.
  • Identify solutions to requests and problems.
  • Provide evaluation and analyses of projects.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with different business units * Demonstration of an active commitment to fostering business and client objectives for the adoption of clean energy technologies.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a sales-related role.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency initiatives.



Travel: Position requires about 40% office work and 60% local travel throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Travel to other states may be necessary based on business needs.

Positions Type and Expected hours of Work: This is a full-time 40-hour position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Work Environment:



  • Work is performed indoors in a professional office environment and outdoors and is subject to extreme weather conditions, humidity, odors, and loud noises.
  • May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces and enter dusty environments.



Physical Demands:

Frequent:



  • Standing, walking and climbing stairs throughout the day every day.
  • Ability to utilize a variety of computerized devices for a prolonged period of time.
  • Answering the phone throughout the day every day.
  • Ability to visit and move around at work sites, including maneuvering into tight and small spaces.
  • Clarity of vision at both over 20 feet and under 20 inches.
  • Ability to judge distance and space relationships.
  • Area that can be seen up and down or to the right or left while fixed on a point.
  • Adjustment of eye to bring object into sharp focus.
  • Ability to identify and distinguish colors.


Occasional:



  • Able to stoop, bend and reach (push/pull)


  • Lift, carry and otherwise transport work-related materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
