The primary responsibility is to provide a high level of call center customer service to all segments of Meriter Laboratories (ML) customers. The Client Services Representative acts as a liaison between all departments within ML, Sales, Billing, and clients for problem solving, dispensing information and evaluating the clients' expectations. This position demands a large knowledge base of technical information to support the CoreLab, Microbiology, and Histopathology departments within ML. This support includes communication of results, problem and /or concern resolution and client education. The position also provides call center service to the support sections within ML. This includes the coordination of specimen pick-up and phlebotomy services, specimen requirements and billing information, retrieval of missing information and the monitoring of reference lab bills.

Required Qualifications:
  • Two-year Associate Degree in health science OR Coursework equivalent to an Associate's degree AND 5 or more years relevant experience in a clinical lab setting
  • 2-3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or a large specimen processing section of a laboratory
  • 1-2 years of computer experience
  • 1-2 years customer service experience
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to work independently and make sound business decisions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to persuade, motivate, and tactfully resolve outstanding issues and conflicts.
  • Excellent problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Medical Laboratory Technician or equivalent
  • Experience working in a call center
  • Experience working in a clinic and/or hospital setting
  • Knowledge of Epic system
