The Highlights:
The Senior Student Records Assistant is responsible for processing time-sensitive enrollment changes, grade changes and other functions related to grading and registration that fall outside of standard automated processes. They review, approve, and process changes to student's official academic and personal record. The Senior Student Records Assistant ensures that University policies and procedures, as well as best practices in records maintenance are consistently observed and that all functions are performed according to both institutional standards, Higher Learning Commission assumed practices and federal laws, rules and regulations.

What You'll Do:


  • Processes grade change and enrollment change requests for all colleges. Communicates with college staff to clarify requests and ensure that all changes are consistent with University policies and practices.
  • Tracks withdrawal data and performs a weekly audit to ensure the grading system works properly.
  • Performs quarterly run and review of GPA restart process.
  • Creates Enrollment Requirement Groups (ERGs) for all colleges. Identifies and resolves barriers to registration related to ERG encoding. Works with the Business Analyst to identify and resolve ERG-based issues in relation to the PERC process.
  • Assists the Records team during high volume periods with processing of changes to official academic and personal records by consistently applying established standards. Such record changes include (but are not limited to) Social Security Number, Legal Name, Visa Status, GPA restarts, Immunization, and email to reset Campus Connect password.
  • Is a member of the Tier 2 team for UR. This team is responsible for responding to or routing of 30,000 annual email and telephone support requests from faculty, staff, students and alumni.
  • Assist faculty, staff, students, and alumni by investigating and addressing issues reported regarding a UR process/procedure. Many of these issues require lengthy troubleshooting.
  • Performs most tasks independently. As a senior staff member, regularly applies professional judgment to resolve discrepancies or conflicts, handle special circumstances, and is expected to assist less seasoned staff.


What You'll Need:


  • BA/BS, required.
  • 3 - 5 years of direct experience with Student Records, Student Services or similar setting.


The anticipated hiring range for this position is: $23.45 to $26.37 per hour.
The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
