SUMMARY The Clinical Pharmacist applies his/her knowledge of, and clinical training in, pharmacotherapy to directly influence and impact physician prescribing to improve the use of medications throughout the Health System and to enhance positive drug therapy outcomes. Other functions include precepting pharmacy PGY-1 and PGY-2 residents and doctoral-level pharmacy students, participating in staff development, and creating opportunities for pharmacists to practice more clinically and promote rational and cost-effective use of medications at Grady Health System.
