Summary

The Customer Service Representative will engage with our customers' buyers and will be the first line of support for receiving and entering customer orders. Through email and phone calls, this role collaborates with our customers and sales teams to confirm order receipt, review customer orders for accuracy and completeness, and assure completion of order entry for a variety of customer accounts. Team members will answer questions on orders and our products and will collaborate with other customer service representatives to best help customers.

Responsibilities
  • Data entry of purchase orders using SAP
  • Use SAP for tracking, information gathering and/or troubleshooting
  • Successfully handle many purchase orders and a large amount of electronic communication
  • Effectively communicate with buyers, brokers, regional sales managers, and warehouse personnel
  • Ensure the accuracy of order details by reviewing product descriptions and UPCs, required lead time is followed and the regional shipping schedule is adhered to
  • Knowledge and understanding of marketing campaigns and sales promotions
  • Research complex inquiries regarding product code dates, shipping issues, or revisions to orders
  • Build effective relationships with personnel and key customer contacts
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, associate's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred
  • A minimum of 3+ years of customer service experience
  • Excellent customer service and support skills
  • Strong direct response sales skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive demeanor, high energy, flexibility, and personal initiative
  • Process accurate work in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional demeanor under pressure
