Test the design and effectiveness of internal financial reporting systems and financial controls for assigned clients. Apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and International Standards on Auditing (ISA); Conduct external audits for clients with operations in multiple countries, including the U.S., Japan, Korea, and China. Support Group and Component audits. Research technical accounting issues. Review audit work papers. Review multinational clients' compliance with Japan SOX (J-SOX), Korea SOX (K-SOX) and China SOX (C-SOX), as applicable. Ensure effective oversight and coordination of the audit process with Group and Component auditors. Understand and utilize KPMG's Audit Execution Guide. Assist with account functions, including billing, fee analysis, and new service development. Identify performance improvement opportunities for assigned clients. Demonstrate in-depth accounting and audit knowledge. Pursue business development opportunities. Establish and maintain client relationships and professional networks.

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.

Must have an active Michigan CPA license.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Applying U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Standards for Financial Reporting (IFRS); Applying U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA); Testing systems, application controls, and manual controls for financial reporting; Evaluating compliance with Japan SOX (J-SOX), Korea SOX (K-SOX) or China SOX (C-SOX), financial reporting controls testing frameworks; Applying Group Auditing Standards, in accordance with SAS 122, as a component or a group team, including developing group audit instructions, performing risk assessment of components, and review of component auditor's workpapers; Using Data and Analytics Tools, including: Idea, Alteryx, Power BI, and Mindbridge in the context of performing risk assessment and substantive audit procedures; Conducting audits for clients in the Industrial Manufacturing and Automotive sectors; and Testing internal accounting procedures and communicating findings to clients.

Travel to various locations throughout the U.S. up to 5% is required.

Telecommuting may be permitted within commutable distance from the office location depending on business need.
