Position Summary

The VP, Total Rewards at Light & Wonder will lead the strategy, design and execution of global HR programs and policies within the areas of executive compensation, broadbased pay, incentive design, equity, global benefits, and global mobility. You will oversee the team and are responsible to ensure a seamless implementation of global programs at a local level through relevant intervention and customization across our global footprint.

Through strategic and timely problem solving, you will build highly productive relationships with all roles across the People Capability Leadership Team to ensure our systems, processes, communications, change management, talent management practices and training systemically enable the desired outcomes of all areas you lead. You will partner effectively with Finance, and L&W's Executive Leadership Team to ensure deep alignment to Financial and Strategic goals, leveraging Business Unit People Execs optimally.

Light & Wonder has an aggressive but achievable business transformation strategy and EPS goals over the next three years. The President/CEO and Board of Directors see talent and culture as indispensable levers that drive their business outcomes. There must be a complete understanding of the business in what challenges and opportunities lie ahead to best create a function that ensures our success. The level of complexity and desired transformation creates an elevated level of ambiguity requiring processes and systems that establish strong organizational capabilities, enabling rapid growth from organic and M&A activities. This role will lead the transformation for Total Rewards to continue refining L&W's philosophy and resulting programs, and carrying this philosophy through to incentive design, incentives harmonization, and Compensation Committee discussion and approval topics. A key objective of this role is also to continue developing the talented team in place to ensure continued high performance and engagement, and career/succession plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and communicate Light & Wonders comprehensive and cohesive Total Rewards strategy to support a high-performance culture and create the business case for specific plans and programs that are aligned with the corporate strategies at a regional or business unit level.
  • Anticipate, forecast, and proactively develop policies and programs that drive improved workforce performance across the business.
  • Hold a high bar on talent within your team so there is effective year-round program management and execution across your portfolio, with the right Business Partner inputs and planning of when partners will be engaged.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and other leaders to gain a deep understanding of organizational goals and apply expert knowledge to design and develop innovative Total Rewards solutions that differentiate Light & Wonder in the marketplace.
  • Provide a clear and strong voice of the customer on Workday business processes for your areas.
  • Bring external lens on trends and benchmarks to ensure competitive outcomes.
  • Lead the mobility function in support of expatriates, company relocations and candidate moves.

COMPENSATION

  • Design and lead administration of global compensation, broadbased and incentive compensation plans.
  • In collaboration with the CHRO and HR Business Partners lead the annual administration process for compensation: merit, annual incentive, and annual equity grants.
  • Develop, prepare, and present recommendations to senior management and the Compensation Committee. At times, present to the Compensation Committee. Work closely with the Chief People Capability Officer, counterparts such as Executive Business Partners, Finance, Accounting, Legal, our Board Advisor, and Business leaders as needed to develop and present presentations to the Committee.
  • Provide technical guidance, and consultation with finance on legal, tax and other regulatory compensation issues effecting program design.

  • Lead the Benefits team on a global basis to develop and communicate companywide benefit strategies and programs, including both health and welfare and retirement programs, that support Light & Wonder's talent strategy.
  • Evaluate the current benefits programs offered in each country that Light & Wonder operates to ensure we provide innovative, country-specific programs that allow us to attract and retain key talent while ensuring the programs are compliant, competitive, and delivered in cost effective manner.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 15+ years experience in HR/Total Rewards
  • Successful track record of leading Total Rewards for a large, multi-site global organization
  • Strategic leader with the desire and track record to lead transformational change of the Total Rewards function
  • Strong business partner who can work closely with business leaders, peers and the Executive Leadership Team, to develop specific plans for their business units or Creator group while working to harmonize total rewards wherever possible
  • Strong influencer and communicator with all levels of the organization including the C-Suite and Board of Directors
  • Must have strong comfort level with synthesizing programs, giving direction/offering guidance, all while working in
  • an extremely fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Experience with Workday preferred
  • Strong experience with Sales Incentive Compensation and Revenue Based Incentive programs is a plus.

ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP

  • Leads a global organization of 14 professionals based in the United States, United Kingdom, and India.
