GENERAL SUMMARY: PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 2. *Provides successful leadership in the timely delivery of medium and small projects. 3. *Increases and maintains current knowledge of the healthcare industry, the organization's business, project management practices and project management methodologies. 4. *Creates and manages project schedules to ensure overall project success, emphasizing innovative solutions, value management, quality assurance, functional efficiency and client satisfaction. 5. Adheres to internal Project Management best practices and PMP methodology and procedures as directed; learns, fully understands and uses all Bryan Health planning and implementation tools such as Microsoft Project Enterprise Management Solutions, Cost Benefit Analysis, the RFP Process, quality assurance and control, and any other standardized approach developed to improve the course and outcome of projects. 6. *Identifies the scope, goals, objectives, requirements and limitations of the project. 7. *Collaborates with Senior IT Project Managers on assigned projects to coordinate assigned activities throughout the project life cycle. 8. Recognizes, respects and incorporates the diverse ideas, perspectives and values of team members to meet organizational and project objectives. 9. *Develops and implements quality improvement planning, measurement and improvement cycles related to information technology projects as assigned. 10. *Plans, executes and manages the tasks, phases and deliverables of assigned projects based on the identified project goals and objectives; closes the project when completed and captures the knowledge accrued. 11. Advances work knowledge by participating in continuing education inservices, reading periodicals/literature and seeking ongoing development opportunities. 12. Performs other related duties as assigned. (Essential Job functions are marked with an asterisk "*"). REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 2. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions. 3. Knowledge of the structure and functions of a hospital/medical center system. 4. Ability to analyze problems, identify needs/priorities/risks, manage change and implement effective work strategies. 5. Ability to manage the scope, time, cost, complexity and quality of IT projects. 6. Ability to translate project purpose and vision into measurable, obtainable outcomes. 7. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate assigned multiple tasks/projects with minimal supervision. 8. Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams. 9. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 10. Ability to coordinate multiple services and functions among staff in frequently high stress situations in order to achieve project goals. 11. Ability to utilize knowledge of formal and informal organizational structures to escalate issues and facilitate effective decision making at optimal times. 12. Ability to utilize leadership and teamwork skills to freely gain support and cooperation from coworkers throughout the organization and external vendors. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (Physical Requirements are based on federal criteria and assigned by Human Resources upon review of the Principal Job Functions.)
